The most modern tour
Street art is deeply embedded in the urban fabric of Naples and its neighborhoods.
Taking on many forms—from classic murals to posters, as well as numerous wall writings and stickers.
Noi napoletani trascorriamo molto tempo in strada, per molti è il proprio ufficio, ed è naturale per noi mangiare in strada cibo pronto che è possibile trovare nelle vetrine delle pizzerie o delle pasticcerie.
Since the 1980s, Naples has been one of the favorite destinations for street art, with early works by French artists Blek le Rat and Ernest Pignon-Ernest, as well as the historic local crew KTM, which was more focused on graffiti and gave rise to renowned artists like Cyop & Kaf and Jorit. These names have played a key role in the rise of street art in Naples.
A special mention goes to the British artist Banksy, who, back in 2005, chose Naples as the location for his first works in Italy. Over the years, the city has welcomed a continuous flow of artists from around the world, turning both its historic center and its outskirts into an open-air canvas for creative expression.
